GREENLAND (2020) Review

When meteors are ready to hit the earth it's up to John Garrity (Gerard Butler) to help his wife and son reach a bunker in Greenland, but it comes as a challenge as the journey comes as unsettling and not easy.

For a natural disaster type film this is the first one that made me feel like I was feeling how scary it is to experience the character was having and the fear of what's happening.

What I absolutely love about this film is it wasn't something crazy it's more of a earthly  disaster film that feels more real, this film doesn't go to the extreme fiction of aliens or a shark tornado it absolutely made me feel like I could go through this situation.

Casting is so well done as Gerard Butler is such a well known actor in his roles of Phantom of The Opera (2004), 300 (2006), P.S I Love You (2007). Morena Baccarin known for Deadpool (2018) and Gotham (2015-2019). Scott Glenn known for The Silence of The Lambs (1991).

This movie was just like watching Patriots Day (2016) as this film has the unique way of shots and perspective of the character, the music is especially very relatable to what’s going on in the movie.

John Garrity is a divorced father who still loves his wife and son. John is a stubborn man that is willing to do anything for his family, Allison Garrity is a strong loving and struggling mother trying to make a happy place for her son as she struggles in her divorce.

In my personal opinion I really don't like that this movie has a lot of those ridiculous situations where the character makes stupid decisions causing more issues, I get that is what leads to the main point of the film but I'm not much of a fan of that.

The movie makes the event's eye opening as a possible natural disaster as there is a real chance of a comet hitting the earth.

The disappointing part to the film is the events the characters goes through in his journey, challenges stopping the characters from getting them where they need to go.
