Mortal Kombat (2021) Film Review

Image
GET OVER HERE!!!   Mortal Kombat is finally getting the film treatment it deserves. I don't play MK games I own and rarely play MK 11, but that doesn't mean I wasn't interested in this movie, I love playing video games and to finally see this franchise get it's well deserved movie treatment is fantastic.    So if you don't know this game had movies yet sadly they came out as a major disappointment in giving such a game a movie treatment, So just seeing this game and those loved character's come to life again with the new technology the film industry has today it's amazing seeing those loved characters on the big screen with a proper treatment.   People with skills in combat and abilities come together for an ultimate fighting tournament, an ancient martial arts fight referenced throughout history by different cultures all over the world known as Mortal Kombat. It is up to these people to become fighters and fight in realms of reality and other worlds.

Batman Begins (2005) Review

Image
Batman Begins one of the greatest Batman Films and imagining of Batman.  Christopher Nolan Director of so many great films before his picture and brilliance. For a batman would be born Warner Bro's was looking to make a new Batman so they called Nolan to do so cause of unsuccess in Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.   Young Bruce Wayne who suffers the death of his parents journey's far East and learns to fight for justice, With the training of Ra's Al Ghul Bruce comes home to his city with dangers following and ready to cause chaos and suffering upon Gotham.   Nolan had to come up with a way to reboot a Batman franchise, With Warner Bros interests in doing so Nolan would tell a story that was never told and he would give the world the best batman story, yet this film and it's following films were loosely inspired by comics such as Batman: Year One, Batman: The Long Halloween and Batman: Knightfall, Yet mostly by Nolan's story.   Batman:

Batman Vs Superman (2016) Review SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

After mixed reviews for Man of Steel 2013, Snyder & Warner Bros would continue with more DC with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, yet after releasing it would too get same mix of reaction and treatment fans gave to Man of Steel.   First off, I have to admit this film was just Horrible, Yet I will say it was awesome fans of DC Comics got to see a film bringing the ultimate clash between Batman and Superman was awesome yet I have to say and can not ignore this films flaws.    I can say Zack has an incredible view in his imagination of Comics and turning them into film.   What is good in this film?    Music was a definite perfection as "Beautiful Lie" was a beautiful track to use for our Batman and "is she still with you" for wonder woman's reoccurring theme was absolute action filled.    Costume design was on point with comic accuracy as Batman's costume was inspired by Frank Millers illustration, Superman's with Snyder's vision as well as c

Man of steel (2013) review SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

After watching Justice League: The Snyder Cut I recently learned that Man of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League was a "Superman trilogy", Of course it was not only that as fans are calling this "The Snyder verse" so I thought I'm gonna have to watch Man of Steel again to see what's good and what's bad and why it got 56% rotten tomatoes?.   I'm gonna start off with what's good on this film.   Casting is just incredible choice. Henry Cavill is an excellent choice as he picks up the attitude and got the comic accurate looks and body build that's needed to be Superman, I think what I like more about Cavill's Superman is the way his Clark Kent isn't always clumsy and picks up more confidence than previous Superman in films, As far as how far Cavill was gonna go with his physique Cavill really put the work in being superman. Yet we can't disrespect the golden legend Christopher Reeve, R.I.P Superman.      W

1917 (2020) review

Image
1917    I don’t watch much war films yet I do watch time period films and films based on true stories, 1917 Was an honest and truly fantastic story on world war 1.   I’m in love with the camera work as it’s a one shot film, A technique used to film one take making a full length film also called a “oney”, this was used to take a continuous action shot to show what goes on in the front lines and the challenges for our protagonist to take on his adventure.   Yes this movie is taken place during World War One, yet it it’s particularly about a story told to Sam Mendes/director by his grandfather   Alfred H. Mendes as a child who served with the British army in World War One and is dedicated to his grandfather.   The story tells of two messengers of the British army that must reach across enemy territory in hopes to at saving his fellow soldiers in combat. As this plot comes as a part true and accurate part of the war as messengers were called “runners” who has to send letters to their c

The Invisible man (2020) review

The Invisible Man (2020)   Reboots either there failure's to the original or maybe better. Though I can say this was one heck of a great version to the classic novel well I guess I'd have to give my honest thoughts to this success.    Let me tell you one thing about me, Growing up I was a huge fan of 2004's The Phantom Of the Opera. When I got older I got into the more classic versions of the film while upon discovering that it was based on the book "that thing's got to be covered in dust in my shelf", Anyway after a long while I lost interest in it and got deeper into classic films ranging from 20's to 90's not saying I watched every classic films just well known ones. And I watched those classic Universal Classic monster films which included The Invisible Man (1933).   (1933) Version really stuck to the novel as the story tells of a mad scientist named Jack Griffin who finds a potion giving him the ability of invisibility, When he shows his abil

Justice League: The Snyder Cut (2021) review

Image
Justice League: The Snyder Cut    Zack finally redeemed himself and brought justice to Justice League. This film was beautiful as it gave the appropriate depiction and image to a live action Justice League we all were waiting for.   New scenes are added to the film with new dialogue and music. Scenes are added explaining more to the story and with a new darker tone to scenes, New dialogue is added giving bigger and longer lines to characters giving better reasons to be in the movie some dialogue is removed giving a better understanding and maturity, Music hit me hard not emotionally but gave an excellent thrill and match to scenes.   Speaking of maturity rumors spoke true to adult language added by our heroes. Violence is topped off with bloody gore which was like watching Snyder's The Watchmen except less blood.   Design in characters is way better, Really made me feel like I was watching JL from a comic book as costumes to characters were very accurate and better versions Batma
